Have You Joined the FLSA Overtime Lawsuit?

By now you should have received correspondence by mail from AFSCME Local 127 informing you of your right to join a federal lawsuit to collect underpaid overtime from the City of San Diego.

This federal lawsuit seeks to gain the City’s full compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, recover the underpayment for each eligible employee, recover liquidated damages for each eligible employee, and seek a court-ordered award of reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.

In order to join this lawsuit, you must opt in by completing and signing the forms we sent to you by mail, and sending the completed forms to Rothner, Segall, & Greenstone using the included, pre-postage paid envelope. You do not have to turn the forms in to the Union Hall. Simply drop the pre-postage paid envelope containing your completed forms in any USPS mailbox. If you did not receive these forms by mail or if you would like further instruction on completing the forms, please contact the Union Hall at (619) 640-4939 or at (619) 339-4484 or visit the Hall between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. If you've already signed up, then you don't need to do anything.
